This year, our traditional Society meeting will be part of Biomolecular Horizons 2024 to be held in Melbourne from 22-26 September 2024.

This important forum will bring together three prestigious congresses:

26^th Congress of the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB)
17^th Congress of the Federation of Asian & Oceanian Biochemists & Molecular Biologists (FAOBMB)
22^nd ComBio Conference (ComBio)

An outstanding array of international presenters will be leading the program, which will include AuPS focused themes:

Molecular Physiology: Leads - Robyn Murphy & Adam Rose
Molecular Basis of Disease: Leads - Mark Schembri & Justine Mintern
Cell, Developmental and Stem Cell Biology: Leads - Sharad Kumar & Leonie Quinn
Cell Signalling and Metabolism: Leads - Peter Mace & Kate Quinlan
Education: Lead - Nirma Samarawickrema

Call for abstracts are currently open and submission will close on Tuesday 12 March 2024.

Funding and support

AuPS will offer financial support to students, ECR and MCR members attending the conference.

AuPS will contribute to the travel costs of all AuPS student members attending the meeting. Students may claim up to $600 if travelling from Perth, up to $300 if travelling from Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Hobart or Sydney or up to $400 if travelling from other regions.
AuPS will contribute $350 to the registration costs of all post-docs, ECRs and MCRs from 5-10 years post PhD (accounting for career interruptions) attending the meeting.
